I will chance you back
Hi im an international student and want to apply for UCF and FSU, i would like an honest opinion on my chances on being admitted and in getting a decent financial aid:
Unweighted GPA: 3.6
SAT:1680 (consider english is my second language)
630 out of 670 on my TOEFL
Community service: +200 hours
Volunteer at kidney fundation.
Intern at law firm
Soccer coach
Student council president
Top 10% in high school
Varsity soccer
Which one do you think will fit me best and where do i have more chances?

The academic profile of the middle 50% of freshmen accepted at FSU in 2013 was:

3.9-4.7 weighted GPA; 26-30 ACT composite; 1730-1960 SAT total

At UCF, the Fall 2013 Freshman Class Profile:

Average SAT Score
1248 (critical reading and math)
1837 (critical reading, math and writing)

Average ACT Score
27

Average High School GPA
3.8

Your GPA (and EC’s) are fine, but your SAT is a little low for FSU and UCF. You’re a High match to match at the two schools. Merit based scholarships would likely not be awarded at either school for in-state students with your stats. Being international, your scholarship options are even more limited.

Are you from a Latin America or the Caribbean? Under Florida statute 1009.21, full-time students from Latin America and the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) who receive scholarships from the federal or state government qualify for in-state tuition at any Florida public university (including UCF and FSU). In other words, it may be possible for you to get in-state tuition.

Good Luck!
