I've been accepted to both and now deciding. My brothers went to FSU so all my spirit is there but I figure UF would be better in general until I thought about classes. Which school would be better for things like environmental science, biological science, ecology, and marine science? It looks like FSU has more classes like that and it has marine science which I don't think UF has. Thank you.

Seems you answered your own question.

I am not completely sure though. I was able to see all of FSU’s courses but not much UF. I just need confirmation.

Have you visited the different departments at FSU and UF?

I’m having the same problem right now! I am also debating between UF and FSU for environmental science. I’ve found that UF doesn’t have as many options for the science side like FSU does, but it does have Environmental Engineering, which deals more with development and land use. I’m just trying to figure out what careers could come out of the more science based side vs. the engineering side. Another dilemma I’m having is that I really liked the FSU campus and general atmosphere better, and I have more friends going there, but I’ve always had this dream to go to UF, and I feel like UF has a better reputation. Something I’ve considered is doing my undergrad at FSU where I’m more confortable and have more friends and then go to UF for my masters, since once you have a masters degree it doesn’t really matter where you got your undergrad anymore.

Receiving undergrad at one and grad at the other is common.

I have not visited any of the departments. I am going to UF friday though for a tour.

Be sure to also visit Florida State. You will find FSU an excellent value for a top public university education.
