Has anyone registered or attended preview? Just wondering what exactly we will be doing and if it's worth going. I definitely want to go, but being on a Friday makes it hard for my family to drive all the way there. Also, does anyone know what time it begins? Any help would be appreciated!

I registered for it. The schedule is on this page: <a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found”>http://admissions.fsu.edu/preview/schedule.cfm

I’ve got the USF Campus Tour on Thursday so we have to get up really early to get from Broward County to Tampa and them Tallahassee all within one day. If you can’t go, FSU says that you have to go to Orientation if you decide to go to the school so this is one of 2 opportunities.

Orientation is mandatory if you are attending FSU, whether or not you go to preview. I think it’s a great idea to go to preview if you are not 100% sure that you want to be a Nole. It will definitely convince you that you’re making the right choice!

Preview is great if you want to see the campus, get to talk to people, and get an idea of what’s available.

That said, I didn’t find Preview particularly useful beyond it being a way for me to miss a day of school as a senior in high school. Really, the only benefit I found was that I got to talk to the chair at the time of my incoming major, and got a tour of the entire department and a discussion of what all was offered and what opportunities were available. Most of that I also got during Orientation (not on the same personal scale, though).

If you are unsure of whether you want to attend FSU, I would say Preview is a decent way of learning about the university, and it can be a big help. If you know if you are going to attend FSU, it probably won’t be too much of a help aside from being able to possibly meet a few professors you will have and to get to see the campus.

Well I definitely know I want to be a nole I’ve already put in all the deposits. so I guess it’s not really necessary. Thanks!
