FSU Psychology

Any information about the FSU psychology program is welcome! I’ve been accepted into several colleges and right now FSU is my first choice, however, I want to make sure I’m making the right decision. I intend to major in psychology and I’m just looking for input on FSU’s psych program. If anyone has had any positive or negative experiences feel free to share!

What would you like to know about the department or the program? I minored in Psychology and know a few graduates of the program.

I thought the program was pretty good. If I had a complaint it would be that the department was almost too big for many of the classes, as the smallest class I took towards the minor was about 65-70 people. Granted those were mostly classes that you would take in your first couple semesters in the major.

FSU’s psychology department is huge. It’s the most popular major at FSU. FSU also ranks second in the country in psychology research funding (only UNC ranks above FSU).

I didn’t major in psychology, but I was an undergrad research assistant there. They have a lot of opportunities for ungrads to work with grad students and professors. I took one psychology class too and loved it.
