What are the different kinds of scholarships a freshman can receive? Or is there only one? I've only heard of freshman a receiving the $9,000 one...

The $9600 scholarship is the only one that FSU currently gives out to freshman applicants.

I believe there were other scholarships given out, especially before the recent budget cuts, but FSU ended most, if not all of them, when the budget cuts started.

They do give out a number of FSU grants, among other financial aid. I’ve had a university grant every year I’ve attended (even this year, when it supposedly was ended).

Thank you! Do you know what the criteria is to receive that scholarship?

There isn’t any specific criteria. You just need to have a high GPA, and high SAT/ACT scores, and hope that FSU gives you one.

To my knowledge, every single one of the freshman scholarships is awarded during the December admission decision. FSU gives out more of the freshman scholarships than they can afford, with the hope that many of the students that receive one will end up not attending the school.

Since you mentioned in your other thread that you were deferred, you won’t be getting one. Sorry to burst your bubble, if you were still holding out hope.

TO OP—
I’m seriously confused.
On your prior post, you asked for assistance since your admission was deferred. Now you are asking about scholarship money.
Allow me to be blunt…
Do you seriously think that a student initially deferred and then later accepted is a true candidate for scholarship money at FSU ???
Wake up…
