I live in Florida and am trying to get into FSU. I got a 1640 on my SAT (after taking it for the first time). I took the ACT and got a 28 but didn't take the writing portion which FSU requires when submitting the ACT. I have a 4.4 weighted gpa as of right now in my junior year and plan to continue taking more AP courses. Think I'll get in?

I don’t know too much about FSU, but I’d say you have a pretty good shot. Keep your grades up in your junior year, and take difficult courses, and you should be fine.

Retake the SAT. Your current score is comparatively low relative to other Florida State students:

I would say take the ACT again rather than the SAT. It seems like the OP does better on the ACT (as many students do), and because FSU requires the writing portion if the ACT is submitted, the OP would have to take it again anyway.
