FSU Traditions

Woohoo my first thread! lol
I've been accepted to FSU and I am highly considering it. I'm just waiting for info from a few other universities before I make my final decision, but to be honest, I am extremely excited to be a Seminole! I know that FSU is a place steeped in multiple traditions and I would just like to know what some of these traditions are. When you think of your experience at FSU, what are some of the first things that come to mind?

Also, has anyone ever heard of Club Publix? lol
GO NOLES!

There are many traditions, but some are period oriented while others are timeless.

Being dunked in the Westcott Fountain on your birthday or other occasion.

Streaking…big decades ago; not so hot today. Don’t do this.

Sports - learning the cheers and standing up all game. How is your [Warchant? Couple this with going to all the games.

Zombies…ask the newer students.

All nighters…these go with “sleeping optional” classes. Hint: You don’t sleep IN class, you just have so much work you don’t sleep much. See: Science Majors, et al.

Coffee…caffeine becomes way too important. See: St. Arbucks](<a href=“FSU War Chant - FSU Marching Chiefs at Prism 2008 - YouTube”>FSU War Chant - FSU Marching Chiefs at Prism 2008 - YouTube).

Passionate discussions that last for hours. Randomly occur here and there.

Playing sports on Landis Green.

Exam Week. Controlled chaos and panic…simultaneously. Also see: St. Arbucks.

The younger students have lots more updated stuff I’m sure.

Going to the Irish Pub for an away game like Miami last year, and going crazy when the Seminoles destroy a rival.

Watching Dustin Hopkins destroy a 55 yard field goal.
