Fsu Vs Ucf Zomg

Im torn between this decision also, I love the UCF campus everything is basically brand new, and i love orlando because i have a ton of family but can one really turn down FSU FOR UCF?

Time to stretch beyond your comfort zone. It's part of growing up.

Just because a building is new doesn't mean it's worth being in.

A lot of people on this board would have you believe that you are doomed if you attend a third-tier school, but that is not the case.

Here is a data point for you regarding UCF. We had two interns working for us while attending UCF a year and a half ago. Both were good students....GPA's of 3.7 and 3.8 IIRC. Both are now enrolled in grad programs at MIT...with full rides. So don't worry so much. It will come down to how well you do and what you accomplish more than your undergrad institution.

If he's interested in engineering, I'd agree. But that does not appear to be the case.

interest : business/MIS/Finance/Entrepreneur.

Same question for me too. If you ever get a chance to visit both campuses, let me know what you thought.

Then under the circumstances, unless you're really attached to UCF, I'd suggest your best opportunities are had at Florida State. The difference in the Colleges of Business are profound.

Oops.

That's what happens when you type and watch football at the same time.

'The difference in the Colleges of Business is profound.'

From an old Floridian perspective: I would choose FSU over UCF.

Also depends on where you want to live. UCF is becoming very highly regarded in the Orlando area. A friend of the family got his BA and MBA there and now he is making tons of money managing entertainment at disney.

Don't let this website fool you... you can become successful from anywhere...

You don't want a Bachelors from a Tier 4 University on your resume.

For that matter, every local college is highly regarded by the local community; especially a commuter school like UCF. One could make the same case about Manatee Community College in Bradenton, for example.

This is personal choice. Many folks who don't even go to college are successful - consider a skilled auto technician. They can easily make more money and be happier than many college grads. A university education is not essential to personal fulfillment.

Go where you want to go - it's all up to you.

However, none of this changes the fact Florida State is a much better rated school than UCF, especially in Business and Hospitality, despite UCF being located near Disney World.
