FSU vs. UF

Hey, I’m sure you’ve seen this over and over but i simply can’t decide on the two schools and really wanted some extra advice. I am transferring from Umass next fall to either UF or FSU. I really liked both schools and keep going back and forth between which i like better.
I like the smaller campus at FSU as its a change from what i have a Umass now with bussing around campus, but i also kinda liked the whole set up at UF where the town felt very integrated into the campus.
If i went to UF i would have to do a year at Santa fe as i don’t have 60 credits, but would be able to transfer into FSU after covering my math and english requirements.
Im majoring in biology (and considering a psych minor as I’m very interested in it) with the hope of going to dental school, and i know UF is ranked higher in STEM.
another less important thing that i noticed is that FSU is an extra two hours from my home in clearwater but as i said thats not the biggest issue

does anyone have any personal advice or experiences at either school?

I wouldn’t want a community college on my transcripts if I were applying to dental school.

I agree with @loller - I would just go to FSU.

How far are you from 60 credits? Possible to pick up credits on-line or during summer?

Having a community college on your transcripts isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though it may come up as odd if you transfer from UMass to one and then transfer to UF. It would likely be something you would have to defend in any dental school applications.

Keep in mind, too, that FSU will evaluate your high school stats if you are applying to transfer with under 60 credits.

Have you already been admitted to both?
Guessing you’re leaving Massachusetts because of costs - so, is there a difference between UF and FSU as far as costs go?
Have you been admitted to your major or premajor?
For dental school admissions, UF= FSU.
In terms of content, look at required courses, aiming at highlighting differences and contrasting the two majors. Also look at ease of combining bio and psychology.

Gouf78, i will only have around 32 credits after my sophomore year, and am not sure i want to go through two transfers.
MYOS1634, i would have to do community for a year to even consider UF as they only take about 60 credits, and the only thing stopping my admittance to FSU is a math credit which i am taking aa test for, or an early summer class if i don’t do well enough on the test
Pasbal, That would actually be completely fine for them to look at my HS stats

Then FSU sounds like the smartest choice.
Does any college offer 'maymester ’ classes?
