Hey guys, so I’m 99% sure I’m not going since I just heard back from SSP that I got in. Still working it out with YSP.
Hi guys! I’m applying for YSP this year, and I was wondering if any of you guys have any tips/advice for the application–this is the first time I’ve applied for something like this, so any help would be appreciated

My son applied. Great scores and GPA but no experience in lab research. Really hoping he gets chosen as I feel it will really benefit him in so many ways. Fingers crossed. Do you hear even if not chosen?
I would think they would let you know if selected/waitlisted or rejected. Good luck @candyce1 to your son! If I hear anything I will post.
Thanks. Also looking at Ole Miss summer school for high schoolers. With his 1500 on SAT he would qualify to attend virtually free. Really would prefer FSU, but Ole Miss is for credit so that would be nice too.
@candyce1 Wow that is a wonderful score! And I checked out the Ole Miss program it would be a great to get some credit. I am really hoping for the FSU program as well. It would nice to get some research experience and work with professors/grad students. D also applied for a Yale summer short course (she was accepted last year with $4,000 scholarship but had a conflict) My other D is getting her masters at FSU and just got an internship at Stanford. I cant praise FSU enough for all the opportunities available. Can you post if you hear anything?

My daughter was accepted on Thursday as well. She is very excited. She only has through next week to accept (she will), and I suspect that the short period is to that they can offer the slot to another student if she declines.

Congrats LTG of n your daughter’s acceptance. Maybe they are being polite and filing the female spots first. Lol.
I keep seeing daughters who got accepted but no sons yet. Fingers crossed that my boy will be one of the twenty boys. But congrats to those who have found out already.
@akinsc Have you heard anything? I haven’t heard a peep.
@candyce1 Several from my daughters school applied. One boy was accepted, but he will not be attending. So may be your son, will get an email soon.
