@guccip Same lol. I’m so nervous because I haven’t gotten anything from them yet. I really hope that release all the decisions soon because I can’t take this suspense.

@esperantist Yup, I got an email at 5 PM. In the email, it does mention them still “finalizing all 40 participants”, so I think they will still be sending out acceptances tomorrow/in the near future.
My test scores are pretty decent, but my application did kinda fall short on STEM-related activities LOL (it was an absolute mess to say the least)
PSAT: 1490 (760 M 730 R)
SAT: 1560 (780 M 780 R)
AP Human Geography (5) AP World History (5) AP Psychology (5)
I honestly don’t think that my leadership positions really helped me get in since most of them are completely unrelated to STEM, but I did mention them. My extracurriculars basically included:
SNHS Assistant Secretary (planned science roadshows at local elementary schools, participated in Science Olympiad since freshman year, science tutor)
NAHS VP (currently trying to finish an original mural and failing miserably due to poor time management)
Key Club VP (planning drives/charity events)
Class Treasurer (mainly just fundraising for senior year and having some fun beating all the other classes during homecoming week)
NHS member
Mu Alpha Theta member (math tutor, occasionally taking part in a competition or two every now and then)
SGA member
I also volunteered at the Museum of Discovery and Science from 8th grade until this year and at my middle school in my freshman and sophomore year. I was actually super nervous since I lacked any real research experience/science awards/big projects that would really make me stand out. I do feel like my letters of rec helped a lot, one of them was from my AP Chem teacher and the other was from my class sponsor who isn’t actually a STEM teacher. My essay was also pretty personal so it probably played a big part in my acceptance too.

@esperantist Honestly, in comparison to your awards, I feel like those scores are nothing

Neither for me, but I’m sure there’s an explanation. Like maybe they’re doing it by region to maintain diversity… idk lol

I got in! I responded to their email to accept the offer; however, I have not received a confirmation that they received it. Has anyone received a confirmation email that FSU received their commitment email?
^^^Disregard my previous post, I just received an email from YSP saying they received my email! They also included a handbook of the rules. I am looking forward to meeting everyone!
