To all the accepted students, have you received any kind of email that they have finalized all 40 young scholars?
“Admissions update: It was tough to choose, but we selected forty 2018 YSPers! Thank you to everyone who has been patiently waiting to hear from us. As soon as we confirm all admitted participants, we will send official notification to those on the wait list.”
This is from their official Facebook group, my DD who was accepted, has not received any emails recently.
@CrazyCatMe Thanks for the notification. Unfortunately, for the rest of us, I think if we didn’t already receive a waitlist notification, we were rejected.

I’ve won multiple MAO competitions at the state convention and regional/invitational competitions. I’ve also helped plan and host one of the competitions this year for MAO. Taught myself JS, HTML, CSS, and C++ because my school doesn’t teach Comp Sci lol and our coding clubs are gone because no one wants to join. I help with my dance studio and teach kids in a not so great side of town dance every week.
I’m disappointed that I didn’t get into YSP but I guess it’s whatever. I’m writing my stats so next year’s applicants can see what type of people got rejected. I’m positive that my teacher wrote a solid recommendation letter. Also my essay was solid. It’s fine, I’m fine. lol

@guccip Are you? I think it’s just too much for my family to afford and I didn’t receive any financial aid. Are you going to do any fundraising or just pay the full cost?
