<p>Just announced...Garnett Stokes from UGA is the new FSU Provost.</p>

<p>Dr. Stokes will be the first lady provost at FSU. The curriculum vitae she sent the FSU hiring panel didn’t indicate her marital status.</p>

<p>Oh, that’s great! I didn’t realize that the Provost would have a husband, I guess his name isn’t Goldie after all. Sounds like she was born to be a Nole!;)</p>

<p>She is very well known in her field and from UGeorgia. She did not need her gender on the CV for everyone in “in the know” to know who she is ;). Nor does she need a husband for that matter.</p>
