Spoke to FTCAP office this morning, they are mailing the first batchof postcrds with dates, this friday the 20th. she said they should all be mailed out in the next 2 weeks

Thanks for the info, Jackmack. We're just hoping my daughter's is not scheduled for the same dates as AP tests, prom and graduation! Anybody know how the reschedule if that's the case? How hard is it to reschedule?

My son's needed to be rescheduled because of APs, he handled it so I don't know how hard it was but we went in July instead.

Try not to reschedule the ftcaps. My d who is a sophmore had a date originally in June, that was pretty much the 2nd day of the overnight camp she was working at. So we rescheduled it in July. Then we realized from her friend who had went in June that all the good classes were pretty much full. So we tried to change it for any earlier date and couldn't. There was nothing open.

But if you have to change your date or get a date in July, don't worry if the classes you want are filled. Just sign up for best schedule you can get. When you get home you can go onto elion and look for openings in the closed classes. There will always be openings throughout the summer, as students drop and add classes. I hope that makes sense.

Is this also true for the summer session? When is the latest I can make changes to my schedule?

Its true for any session. Did you already pick classes for your summer session? If you did you could go on right now and change them if you want. Just log onto elion, then go into the drop/ add, and you can check to see if the classes you want are open. Then you can change them if you want.

Eep I better take those placement tests asap.

I'm just wondering why PSU would schedule ftcap dates during AP test weeks when they know full well when AP tests are being given.

Actually I was wrong - sorry- it was not APs, it was regents or something odd to NY - late graduation maybe. Something like that, so maybe they do not schedule during APs.

My child rescheduled last year by calling the office immediately after receiving his postcard when he knew he would not be able to attend on the assigned date. We were given the first date of FTCAP which allowed him to enroll in every class he wanted.

DS's postcard arrived today. (We are a local family.)

D's postcard arrived today...Wed. 5/16 is her ftcap date...her last AP test is Tues. 5/15. Phew!

SpringfieldMom - When did your D take the placement tests? Also, can you tell me the postmarked date on the postcard?

She took ftcap tests 3/29 and postcard was postmarked 4/19. Since you're in NYC, it should take an extra day or so. P.S. It's bright pink.

SpringfieldMom - That is amazing. Today is 4/19. It took less than one day to receive the mail. I will probably get it on Saturday, 4/21, or Monday, 4/23? By the way, I took the placement tests on Friday, 5/11. I have my APUSH Exam on that date. crosses fingers.

Oops, typo-postmark was 4/17. +++You took placement tests a month from now, 5/11????+++ ;)

Whoops. I mean I took the placement tests on 3/17. I just received my FTCAP date. It was postmarked on 4/17 and I received it today. My FTCAP date is on 5/24.
