Hey Guys,
I need some more information-inside info- on the FU college of engineering -it seems like none of the high-tech, industry stuff is in NY..and that the college of engineering is lower/lesser than that of Berkeley, MIT, etc.

I didnt get into Berkely or MIT..but got in FU college...

I got into both of those schools. A ton of people turn down Berkeley and plenty turn down MIT. SEAS isn't an engineering powerhouse and isn't a top 5 engineering research institution (like MIT, Berkeley, Caltech, Stanford, etc.). But, you get a solid engineering education but you still get to be in NYC, a well-rounded liberal arts education, an Ivy league school, etc. SEAS grads have tons of opportunities outside of engineering, too.

There's industry in the NY area -- in upstate NY and in Jersey. There's no manufacturing plants in NYC.
