As for computer science, is Cornell engineering much better than Fu Foundation? I'd like to major in computer science but i also want to live in NYC, and study about finance, which columbia excels in.

Cornell destroys Columbia (and the rest of the ivies for that matter) in engineering.

However, if it comes down to location, you're better off with Columbia.

Cornell's economics is also really strong. I believe the Applied Economics Management Program is consistently in the top 10 or so (could be wrong...)

So... it comes down to whichever is more important to you: strength of program, or location.

IF you want to go into Finance both are good but Columbia has the edge. If you want to actually be an engineer, Cornell has the edge.

Cornell has better computer science, but if you want to go into finance, go to Columbia.
