<p>Anyone have any input on their child applying for a Fullbright Scholarship? Or experiences with one? Were their stats amazing? I have a very bright (not off the charts...but a strong 3.7 college gpa) DD who may be interested....</p>
<p>We had no real input, but encouraged the application when daughter showed interest. She ended up getting the scholarship, and had a great time.</p>
<p>The application is time consuming, and the scholarship is very competitive, as I am sure you know. The odds of getting selected depend to some degree on the country she is interested in going to. Also, some countries prefer specific fields of study, so those in “unfavored” fields can be at disadvantage. Some have minimum language requirement. You can find a lot of info on the Fulbright web site, but it will take some time…</p>
