full ride as an international transfer student

Do any American universities offer full rides (or a really generous scholarship) to international transfers who went to an American CC and graduated with a 4.0 GPA? I have won many merit, leadership and service awards. I am also president of my CC's student government and a member of PTK.

I am majoring in IR and dont mind moving anywhere, as long as its a safe place for a Muslim woman.

The colleges and universities that guarantee to meet need should be on your list. Whether their evaluation of your need, and your evaluation of your need are the same is a different story. Try the women’s colleges. Bryn Mawr is very interested in admitting CC transfers with your kind of profile.

As for other scholarship options, the Transfer Advisor at your CC should be able to help you out. Go sit down with that person, and ask where previous PTK presidents have ended up.

Good luck!

However, I don’t see if Bryn Mawr awards any full rides to international students

It is a tough thing that you are looking for. I do not think such a school exists. If you do, please inform us; we would have learned something from you.

True, I don’t know how likely it would be for BMC to come up with a nearly full-ride for an international transfer. I do know that they have particular interest in CC transfers, and even have formal articulation agreements with a couple in the Philly area.

Any such scholarship that can help international transfer students financially?
