Hello! I was wondering if there are any scholarships that allow college freshman to apply for a full-ride to college?
I know most scholarships are given to high school seniors because it is the summer before their start in college. However, I did not make two of the scholarships I applied for. I was wondering if there is still a chance of getting even almost a full ride to the college of my choice?
Colleges offer the best aid to freshmen because it helps their rankings. Most don’t have the money to offer full rides, and the ones that offer great need based aid have very low acceptance rates. Are any of the CA colleges that accepted you affordable?
Have you started college already? How much money do you need?
If you have not started college, think long and hard about taking a gap year so that you can apply again to a new more affordable list.
If you are already in college, unless the place where you are studying has some scholarship funds for continuing students, you are bot likely to get money.
It would depend on what the college of your choice is. 90+% of colleges do not give full ride scholarships to anyone.
Short answer is probably not. This cannot be said strongly enough: Do not enroll in the school of your choice this fall if you don’t know how you will pay for it. Pick a cheaper school, take a gap year, or do something else.
Would you need a full ride scholarship based on stats (regardless of how much your parents make) or a full ride scholarship based on your parents’ income?
In any case, if you NEED a full ride to attend college then you’re better off taking a gap year.
What’s your budget?
Where did you get in and what’s the net cost* at each?

All your posts seem to focus on the UC schools. Are you in-state for them? One option is starting at a CCC and transitioning after a couple of years.
