full ride

how do people get full rides?

i got the 4000 / 2 year scholarship thing

but i really want full ride...

I don't know how many full rides are out there, but you've done well to get what you did. The school has lots of job opportunities on campus which can help make up the difference.

well thats no help....

if you're a URM you can get the diversity scholarship for 7k a year

I think the honors program gives out a couple full ride scholarships, but I'm sure your SATs and GPA would both need to be very high. Are yours?

What is URM?

I think it's Under Represented Minority. So, minority but not Asian:)

Yeah I got the same thing...I don't need a full ride, although I would have to say I would probably just drop my other schools if I got one, but I was just wondering about what hellokitty said.
I didn't know there were any honors scholarships--is that true?

i hope i get a full ride, that would be really sweet. 4.0 act35 in state. fairly reputable high school..

I don't think they give any full rides, unless you're a sports person. The biggest merit scholarship is the Mary Gates Endowment Award for Honors Students, I think. You should be glad you got the $4000 dollar one, that's still great.
