Here is the info from the University of Alabama web site. A boy from our high school is enrolled there now, as a NHS. He is in the engineering program, and is very happy with his choice.

There is no info on the Oklahoma State University web page but i just got an email from them offering me full tuition and 5500 cash (my dad's an alumni and i kept emailing them until they replied with "a new scholarship package") you might have to list OSU as you first college choice on the PSAT, i don't know but you can email them about it at finaid@okstate.edu

My certificate doesn't say "Finalist", but it does say "College Board..blah blah...(My name)...blah blah...National Hispanic, and right beneath it reads "Scholar". Is that the same thing?

My S was a NMF (not NH). Nonetheless, he had a weighted GPA of somewhere between 3.5-3.7, taking 3 APs JR year & 5 APs SR year. He got a USC NMF Presidential 1/2 tuition scholarship + two very small merit awards.

For National Hispanic Scholars (100% tuition, current value=$63,880) -
Non-Florida resident students designated as National Hispanic Scholars through the College Board will receive 100% of tuition. To be considered for this award you must submit a copy of your National Hispanic Scholar Certificate by February 1.

Concerning the Alabama full ride, when they say that you have to have at least a 3.7 cumulative GPA, do they mean on a 4.0 scale? And if so, don't those requirements seem a little harsh? 3.7/4.0, at least a 1420 on the SAT, AND status as a NHSF? Jesus Christ! :(
