I have a solid 3.8 gpa and i have a 2120 SAT score (hoping to bump it up when i take it a second time this fall) I'm looking at schools in the new england region. if it helps, i want to major in biology, or do a predental program. Are there any good schools that might offer me a full scholarship?

People usually refer to full tuition scholarship or full ride which would include all COA.

By saying ‘scholarship’ do you mean that you will not qualify for need based aid and need merit aid? Full tuition/full rise based on merit isn’t common anywhere and harder to find in New England.

Have you read the threads about automatic merit or competitive merit pinned to the top of the forum?

The NE does not have many more-popularly known schools that give full tuition nor full ride merit scholarships based on SAT and GPA.

what is your situation? how much can you/your family contribute each year?

why the NE? If you need very large merit, go elsewhere.

@mom2collegekids @BrownParent i live in the NE area and i want to stay close to home, and my family doesn’t qualify for need based, which is why i need to depend on the merit scholarships.

UAB has a couple pre-dental slots (highly competitive) for incoming freshmen. They offer good merit and honors programs - but you have to be willing to go out of NE.

You have good stats. Do your research. BUT…you may end up having to compromise your list (NE, near family, parents have money but won’t/can’t contribute, lots of merit) because that is asking a lot.

okay thanks for the info! very helpful! we actually have family in alabama, so i might be able to go down there :)

Can you parents contribute at all? How much?

what is your m+cr

also apply to Alabama.

how much can your family pay?
