Full-scholarship only schools

Does anyone know which schools have guaranteed full-scholarship admission if accepted, like Olin College of Engineering used to offer? (not military academies)

Cooper Union in New York City…

Also, if your EFC is close to 0, then Princeton, Harvard, Yale and Williams will come close to a full scholarship

Berea College in KY and College of the Ozarks if you are low-income.

Macaulay Honors College at CUNY. It’s tuition-free, plus free laptop, and many others.

I forgot Deep Springs, which is all male and very selective.

The military acadamies.

Actually you get a stipend while attending plus free tuition, plus a guaranteed job after graduation.

^^^
the OP just mentioned that “not military academies”

What are your stats?

What is your family’s EFC?

That will determine much.

this should be useful, just click each college to find the details:

Thanks all.
I’m unlikely to qualify for any need-based aid, but I’m at about 650 for each SAT subject, 3.8 GPA, and fairly good ECs. I’m female, too, so Deep Springs won’t work.

Many people consider Olin, Cooper Union, and related schools entirely free. I should add that to [my list of misconceptions](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/867866-various-misconceptions-misbeliefs-about-colleges.html). Like Olin (formerly), Cooper Union covers only tuition, leaving all other expenses (housing, food, books, etc.) to be covered by the student.

“Free” colleges tend to fall into 4 categories.
[ul][]Work Colleges - Alice Lloyd, Berea, College of the Ozarks, etc.
[]Engineering colleges - Cooper Union, Olin, Webb
[]Military academies - USMA, USNA, USAFA, etc.
[]Specialized colleges - Curtis Institute of Music, Deep Springs, Barclay, Macaulay Honors, etc.[/ul]

I consider a college free if tuition is paid. I say “used to offer” because Olin recently changed their policy to offering only a half-tuition scholarship.

Macaulay Honors college at CUNY also gives $7500 for study abroad and other stuff… but I think they give preference to NY students, so it could be really tough getting in if you’re not in NY. In the area is also Cooper Union (where you can only major in engineering, architecture, or art)

NYU Abu Dhabi! petrodollars ftw

It is very hard to get into any of those colleges…

Yale’s school of music is now so well endowed that it is tuition free. Good luck with that!
