Hey guys...
I was just wondering... are there any universities in U.S. that give full tuition scholarship or some kind of "full tuition fin. aid" to international students? Somehow, I found it extremely hard to find that kind of information.
I'll appreciate any kind of response.
Thanks.

well, from what i know, i think almost ALL universities (especially the better ones) in US give "some kind of full tuition fin.aid" to int'l students... but, maybe u can narrow down ur selection to "need-blind universities", meaning that they don't discriminate the int'l applicants with regard to the fin.aid they require... there are 6 need-blind universities for int'l students: harvard, yale, princeton, mit, williams, middlebury... but of course, other universities, while not need-blind, are also very generous in giving fin-aid to needy int'l students...

I believe Cooper Union, Berea College, and College of Ozarks offer full ride to internationals.

Actually, Cooper Union is tuition free to begin with!

gtown gives ful tuition scholarships to 5 intl students each year
i got one

what kinds of things should my cousin in India do to make his resume competitive for full tuition at any college here?

barcaholic: congratz! so u only need to pay the room-board and the daily expenses? that's great...
kams1086: well, just tell him to do things that make his resume competitive for college application in general: good sat, sports, music, and most importantly, community service...

u of wash in st.louis gives out full scholarspip but it's really competitve.
and if you get into princeton and it shows that you need full tution, they'll just giv it to you. Look for need-based finaid schools.

You can get much more than full tuition as well....I got in at Kenyon with a full tuition and fin aid for room & board as well. I only need to take care of my personal expenses!! Many reputed LACs and Unis give almost full ride/full ride to a great number of internationals.

yeah liberal arts cols like intels. And some uni's give you 'allowances' (aka personal expenses) with your full ride.

which LAC's give full rides??

Amherst and Swarthmore Colleges, for sure. Virtually all top schools do.

Thank you, everybody! This is very helpful. I'll keep researching.

If it's not too much trouble, could you please mention specifically which LAC's or Uni's offer full tuition + fin. aid for room and board? Thanks.

I think there once was a thread started by Carolyn regarding Fin Aid for the internationals. I suggest you PM her, she can be of some great help.
