What colleges give full tuition based on stats...Like a 3.8 and above and 33 ACT

I know about Alabama and LSU, is there any other major colleges that do this?

Two good old threads to read on this topic are:

Those scores will give $9,000 off of the COA of $20,000 at IU. But they should also make you eligible to apply for several “selective scholarships”…that can end up meaning a total “free ride”. Also, do you really MEAN “free ride” (including room & board", or do you mean “free TUITION only”. I think, based on the National Merit paperwork we’ve been receiving from schools…MANY of them would offer their top (often called “Presidential” at many schools) scholarships, which would translate pretty much to free tuition. So you’d need to narrow down and do some research. A couple of Arizona and a couple of Oklahoma schools also offer full rides to National Merit finalists. So that makes me think they’d also be pretty good with money for your stats. What about Wash U at St Louis? They give a lot of merit aid. I’d think your in-state schools would be happy enough with your stats to maybe offer a full ride.

Miss St would likely give you free tuition.

What is your home state?

Are you a NMSF?

im from michigan, so my first choice is U of Michigan…but I want to have other/cheaper options…

I mean full tuition, not room and board… that would be nice, but i can live without it free

I know students at UM with 4.0, #1 in class, 35 ACT … no big scholarships. Certain programs may offer more money (for example, nursing). Most kids I know get a relatively small alumni scholarship or something similar. Every bit helps, of course … but don’t hold your breath for full tuition.

If you are low income, the need based aid at UM is excellent.

You could probably get really great scholarships at Wayne, Oakland, Saginaw Valley.

What is your current list of reaches, matches, and financial safeties???
