Fullfiling the UC entry level writing requirement

Lol Astrina,

Some people just aren't very good at searching for things and want everyone else to do the work for them.

i know. :) you won't believe how many times i was asked this as a TA:

student: "hey, i'm confused on ___ . can you help me out?"
me: "sure, what part of of the explanation were you having problems with?"
student: "oh, i didn't actually do any reading. i didn't think the book would help."

and i'd tell them to read it first and then come back. they'd eventually learn, just as i hope some people on this forum will learn too!

I hear yeah. You'd expect people to be more resourceful.

What did you TA for?

It says scoring a 680 on the SAT 2 Writing will be sufficient.

After looking over the SAT 2 subject test categories, I see no Writing test.
What does it mean by SAT 2 Writing test, is it asking for the regular SAT writing score?

bah. i got 710 on sat 1 writing but i guess it doesnt count since theyre looking for sat 2. im taking the ap language test though this coming may.

Elee,

There used to be a SAT II (Subject) Writing Test. The College Board now includes Writing as part of the SAT I (Reasoning) Test. To satisfy the requirement, you need to get at least a 680 on the Writing portion of the SAT I.

oh nevermind. thanks for the response sterling.

i TAed chemistry labs and lectures for 12 quarters, everything from chem 4 through upper-div molecular biochem lab. it was a lot of fun meeting so many people and seeing a somewhat-human side to professors.

what -__- 670 over here....

yeah it does suck. they should lower it down to 600 or something haha.

I think 650 is good enough.

no because i got 640. :(
