Is there a list of masters programs (fields of study) that are fully funded, in particular the Arts and Humanities. For example, I know there are fully funded programs for Creative Nonfiction Writing. But I have a broad range of interests and I'm simply trying to see what are some other options that I might have.

I appreciate any help. I've already tried google and will continue the search. In the meantime it would be a tremendous help if some knows of a compilation of funded programs somewhere or some kind of guidance.

Thank you so much!

No such list exists. You are talking about tens of thousands of funded positions that change status on a yearly basis. For masters degrees it is rare to hear about guaranteed funding for more than a year at a time, and longer deals are often “one time only” or very nearly so. Far more often they fund the majority of students as TA’s or (less often) RA’s, but funding can still disappear between years.

For now I would say this: In any given field you have a chance of funding. In no field is that chance ever 100% guaranteed. So apply to the programs that interest you, then see what funding is like.

That is true, it is usually year to year. My son had partial funding his first year in School Psych, they had some cuts, but full funding the next 2 years. They were upfront about the funding but couldn’t guarantee. He did read in information about school programs though how many students received funding, average amounts and geared his applications that way. He wouldn’t bother applying where it would cost him that much more in loans, but that was a personal thing for him.

My DD had offers from a couple of schools which offered right up front to provide her a tuition remission and a stipend based on being a teaching assistant. Sometimes this is more prevalent at terminal masters schools (No PhD students to do that work), but I did see her get an offer from a PhD level school, too. It is very much school by school and major by major.
