I'm still deciding between Wisconsin and NU and the main thing holding me back is the social scene at NU. It seems like (just from my visits) that the people at NU are studying constantly and even if you weren't, there isn't all that much to do for fun. Aside from going to Chicago, what is there to really do? At Wisconsin there are 2 student unions, a bowling alley, rock climbing, huge areas to hang out, and plently of nightlife. At NU, all that I know about are the restaurants in Evanston. Do people still party at NU thursdays, fridays, saturdays, whatever...?
Thanks for your help

Really? There’s tons of bars, fraternity parties, and house parties. While NU will not compare favorably to one of the premiere college towns in the country, to suggest there’s no social life or nothing to do is bordering on ridiculous.

brad - You are a perfect fit for WI, and your own words sum it up perfectly : “At Wisconsin there are 2 student unions, a bowling alley…”

Anybody that is considering university choices and concerned with whether or not there is bowling close by, is going to love WI.
