So I am a med, health, society major and pre-med which means i am taking all the req courses chem and calc and i am also taking spanish. I was taking a course in american studies: Culture of Dance.. which i really wanted to take but I got bumped : ( So I was wondering if anyone could give me ideas of a good class to take that doesnt require math or science and is not a heavy writing course to give me a break throughout the day. Thanks!

take a music course -- my recommendation would be any course with lovensheimer, country music, or the history of rock. american music is a risky one, depends on the professor. stay away from cockrell.

also, try ratemyprofessors.com for advice on professors and the courses they teach. that's a pretty reliable source.

You are pre-med and you dont want a heavy math+science course? LOL!

The OP is already taking math and science courses; she just doesn't them to comprise her schedule completely.

Philosophy is tons of fun...take a Philosophy class.

haha thanks zooey.. thats exactly what i want. Im thinking about american popular music? anyone taken it? Philosophy sounds interesting, but would that be a very hard course?

for Philosophy, you've got to have an open mind about what you're learning and need to be able to form your own opinions as well. You'll learn about a lot of theories and philosophies that are probably totally different than your own, but you'll have to grasp them and be able to apply them. But if that sounds good to you, go for it! I don't think it should be that difficult of a course in and of itself.

Philosophy is awesome. Especially ethics. And no I am not a philosophy major.

Music, Arts, and Ideas with Link was amazing(no exams!!!)

How was your grade determined then?!
