Fun game to pass the time...

So Princeton just released the schedule of classes for 2008 to 2009 (!!!!). It's available here (Dept./Program - Office of Registrar).

The game isn't really a game... I just thought it would be fun for everyone to list the 4 or 5 classes they would take first semester freshman year. There are so many exciting choices! As they said on the Prox (Prince blog), it's like being a kid in a candy store :)

So, what would you take?

CHV 308 princeton could go a long way in making this a reality

ECO 100+101, MAT 203+204 for now....

5757 -- hilarious :) I am assuming you're suggesting that Princeton could perfect YOUR life by accepting you?

OMG ... What can I say... I'd take international relations (POL 240), The Just Society (POL 307), The American Political System (POL 541) and Modern Political Theory (POL 303).... This is MORE than candy... and to think at high school all we get is US government...
AH
Not sure if freshmen are allowed to take all of the above... but if I wasn't... I'd sneak in anyway!!!!
Its interesting that they put the "average homework" thing at the bottom... seems like very little writing, and a humongous amount of reading... those 4 courses combined equal about 700/800 pages a week. But I'd LOVE it!

Oh my god. I love this game! Thanks so much for that link ceebee.
Introductory Logic (PHI 201)
Intro to Metaphysics and Epistemology (PHI 203)
Intermediate Latin: Catullus and His Age (LAT 205)
From DNA to Human Complexity (MOL1B)

Oh my gosh I would take Intermediate Latin too! Except not Catullus because I've already taken it... though maybe I'd take it again... Catullus is my favorite poet!

i am indeed ceebee63.

ha...i first interpreted that as "5757 is the same person as ceebee63."

can you take WWS classes before you're accepted? if so:

negotiation: theory and practice
Comparative Political Economy of Develop
Reading Literature: Drama
Britain 1815-1945: Dominance, Democracy

Woo! Way too many courses to choose from. Probably

PHI203 Introduction to Metaphysics and Epistemology
MAT104 Calculus
CHM215 Advanced General Chemistry: Honors Course
and a freshman writing seminar.

Aaahh...ooohhh...lol.

WWS 312 Psychology of Decision Making/Judgment
POL 304 Conservative Political Thought
ECO 100 Introduction to Microeconomics
GER 306 German Intellectual History
PSY 101 Introduction to Psychology
PHI 201 Introductory Logic
PHI 311 Personal Identity

Is my assumption correct that I only could/should take 1xx courses? Also, would I be able to take courses at the WWS or are those only for grad students?

As your advisor will presumably tell you, taking 200 or 300 (or even, if you're up to it, 400) level courses is fine. You are the best judge of your own capabilities.

Anyone can take WWS undergraduate courses, provided they are not marked junior / senior only (in which case you'd have to receive special dispensation to take them as an underclassman).

Also, just as a suggestion, you shouldn't take PHI 311 as a freshman, unless you've had significant exposure to philosophy before. It is an intensive (and very small!) class that presumes a strong philosophical background.

Thank you very much for your help, GR Elton.

i would take this seminar only because of my love of chemistry. if needed i would sample a bit for the sake of science.

Princeton University - Freshmen get a taste of chemistry — through chocolate

MAT 203 Advanced Multivariable Calculus
Mol 215 Quantitative Principles in Cellular and Molecular Biology
CHM 215 Advanced General Chemistry

and that's about all i have at the moment

CLA 218 The Roman Republic
LAT 203 Introduction to Augustan Literature

POL 240 International Relations

MAT 201 Multivariable Calculus

LIN 201/ENG 213 Introduction to Language and Linguistics

TPP 301 Seminar on Learning and Teaching (if I could get into it)
AAS 201 Introduction to the Study of African American Cultural Practices

ARC 306: eco-urbanist architecture
URB 201: intro to urban studies

so beyond any high school offerings...
