fun high school research programs

hi all,
there seem to be tons of high school research opportunities...
but I want to chose one that is fun and have a bit more social side on it, and also a bit less competetive than RSI (e.g. 20% acceptance rate)

I looked at this list, but not sure which ones to apply to...
can anyone give me suggestiosn?
High School Internships
thanks

bump bump

edit:: how fun is NIH internships?

Clark Scholars, of course, which offers a nice stipend and is fairly competitive (acceptance rate around 9%, so not really your target…). It’s really fun and offers a great research experience. See the Clark Scholars thread on CC if you haven’t already. Applicants without prior research experience are frequently accepted (usually at least a few each year out of twelve), but it’s important you show enthusiasm for research, and obviously, research experience is helpful.

In Clark Scholars, there’s a huge social aspect. We have “sleepovers,” and we spent long nights talking about all kinds of random intellectual topics. We really all felt like good friends by the end of the first week, especially since there were only 12 of us!

thx for the feedback
it sounds like a lot of fun, but I wish it was at a more known university so it would help a bit on college apps…might end up applying tho

has anyone done NIH???
