Fun/Interesting 1-2 Credit Classes?

I had some people recommend Totally Awesome Mathematics to me, which sounded exactly like something I'd be interested in, but then it conflicts with one of my required classes =/

Does anyone have something else like this; a not very heavy class that just teaches you something interesting and fun?

My schedule is at 14 credits right now and I have a LOT on my plate in the Spring outside of classes, so I was hoping to take it light, but if anyone has something interesting I would be willing to chip something on so my schedules not TOO light.

Thanks!

PS. Has anyone heard anything about Mathematics in Politics?

I’m only taking 14 credits too. I figure with pledging I’ll need the extra time, and I’ve got AP credit so I won’t be behind or anything.

I’ll only have class TWTh :P

desktop applications in the ILR school (2 credits NO LETTER GRADE)

you can go to schedulizer’s advanced search and search for 2 letter credit courses…

CS 2022, 2024, 2026, 2042, 2044
Courses on various C languages and Unix tools, pass fail and only 4 weeks (except for 2024). If you know any basic CS the first 3 are useful and easy, if you have interest in learning a bit about Linux you can do 2042 (followed by 2044 if you want).

EAS 1109 - Dinosaurs is fall only, but it’s interesting and easy I’ve heard

NS 247- Food for Contemporary Living
PE ?- Backpacking in the Finger Lakes
H ADM 303- Club Management

I realize that course numbering has changed since I graduated, but that’s why I included the course titles.

Also, you might want to check out classes in the Johnson School. Some of them are half a semester, which is cool because you can take a class for the first half of a semester, when your course load is relatively lighter/material is not as complicated yet.

Oh, and THETR 280- Intro to Acting is not terribly hard for 3 credits, but a lot of fun.
