The Campaign for USC has a goal of $6 billion by the end of 2018. Today a major milestone has been met with $4 billion raised. Of that total the USC Board of Trustees donated over 1 billion. The number of donors is now at 257,464. About 40% of the current total are gifts from alumni of the university.

Priorities for funds spent…
$2.1 billion for faculty research, institutes and USC medical enterprise
$1.4 billion for student scholarships, financial aid and the creation of 77 new faculty chairs
$500,000 million for building construction
Among all colleges and universities in the U.S. only Penn, Columbia, Stanford, Cornell and Harvard have accomplished this amount in one campaign.
Since the announcement Van Eck global donated $3 million for a student investment fund and travel scholarship.
Hearst Foundation has given $300,000. to support postdoctoral fellows pursuing certain cell research.
Keck School of Medicine has received a gift of $600,000 to advance global medicine from Atul Dhablania and his wife.
Donor number is now at 260,687.

Alumna, Joan Payden, has donated $5 million dollars to advance SC’s Neighborhood Academic Initiative.
