Fundraising Ideas?

I'm in Beta Club and I really want to raise money to send an economically disadvantaged eighth grader to DC. We need $500 to send one kid. Any good fundraising ideas?

Students pay $2 all week to a wear a hat on the Friday of the week (if you’re school approves$

I think classic bake sales are always a good idea. At my small school, if a club has a fifteen-minute bake sale during our break time, they end up making anywhere from $130-150 in pure profit. Nobody gets tired of bake sales (we have one at least 3 times/week).

Otherwise, something like the hat thing is a good idea, but only if your school doesn’t normally let students wear hats (and you’d have to run it by the school administration).

Another fun fundraiser is singing grams, again if your school is okay with it. Here, we pay $3 for a gram to be sent anonymously or with a message to a student (or amusingly, a teacher), and you get to pick the song/singing group you want to sing it.

Great ideas, guys! Keep 'em coming!

Car washes are usually pretty profitable where I live. We’ve made like $300 in a day before. On the other hand, it’s cold out right now in most places, so I don’t know how favorable that sounds… Raffles work well sometimes. Like everyone pays $1 to be entered to win maybe a $50 gift card to somewhere that everyone likes, maybe a popular food place. Hope this helps :/

My son organized a “Rent a XXX” day …he got some kids from each grade to allow themselves to be auctioned on. The winner got to have the person wait on them - and/or made them dress up -during the school day. Like having your own servant. He got a lot of the jocks, dance team, cheerleaders to participate. Auction sheets were in library and people would just sign up. Some even joined together to bid on someone. Some had them back them cookies or things. All in good fun - principal approved. It’s become an annual event.

I sell Avon and we have just an amazing Fundraising program! Every one needs makeup, and you can make up to 50% of what people purchase. I bet alot of other companies like Avon have fundraising programs, so try to find a someone who sells something that you would like to sell, EG Tupperware, pampered chief ect… Every one likes to buy these things, and they feel better if they feel like you are helping you out.

I dont know where you are located at, but I would be more than happy to help you out! Let me know if you would like it.
