do you guys have any successful fundraising ideas?

Bake sales as long as you do them correctly. Contact local supermarkets, bagel shops, cookie places, donut places, and ask them to donate their food or day old bagels/donuts. And then have your committee bring in other stuff like water, soda, etc. How much are you looking to raise and when? PM me if you want holiday-themed fundraisers and/or ones that make lots of money.

Heh, those are always good. :)

At my school, student parking is on a first-come-first serve basis, so as a fundraising event, we raffled off a reserved parking spot (there happened to be an empty spot in the teacher's lot) It was fairly successful (raised around $60 in one week) but I think with better advertising we might have been able to raise more...

Am I missing something? I know they wanted successful fundraisers but most of the ones I have are holiday/season/class specific and I don't know when the original poster wants to have these fundraisers or the grade he or she is in. :)

okayy so let's see what you can do.
-do u kno someone who can get an ipod for relatively cheap? like an employee at an apple store? sell raffle tickets for $5 each or something. if you get enough ppl, you might be able to make a profit.
-you can always do a carwash, altho that's kinda out of fashion =P nobody wants to get dirty anymore
-bake sales are the best, especially if you kno there's a football game or something where ppl mite be hugnry
-selling tshirts, wristbands, pins, etc. you can make hundreds of dollars with cool tshirts if you have good designs
-just asking people to donate, they probably will. go around the neighborhood (dont get kidnapped!) or ask your teachers. if it's for a good cause ppl will be interested.
-selling those coupon books can help too
-holding a movie night, where you play a good movie and charge ppl $1 for admission
-collecting dues from members i guess

im running out of ideas! what else do you guys think =)

Hi there,

I came across this thread and felt I could help out. I run a website (it's Australian but the general principles still apply) that lists hundreds of fundraising ideas. It is Fundraising Directory: Welcome. Some good ideas for you would I think be good for you might include: Trivia night - you can have a certain theme for the night to make it fun - it might be 80s music etc. Other ideas are:
-a cookie dough fundraiser
-recipe book fundraiser (get local celebs to contribute a recipe to your book)
-personalised T-shirts. There are a couple of suppliers in Australia, so I'm sure there must be in the US, that have really funky designs on their t-shirts, and allow you to have your name or text incorporated into them - awesome designs for teenagers even.
Of course, there will be plenty of catalogue-based fundraisers that require no money upfront.

Anyhow, hope this helps to some measure - take a look at our website for more ideas, although like I said, the suppliers listed there will not service the US and you'll need to find something similar for youself.

Kindest regards,
Mandy

local celebs? who has local celebs? lol =)

Bake sales and cool T-shirts work the best, I think. If you can get nice stuff pretty cheaply, raffle it off. Or ask companies/stores to donate things. Also, people will normally be pretty generous if it's for a good cause.

Hello,
I have been writing about Fund Raising and publishing on Fundraising Ideas, products and news. , have a look if you like those ideas.
