DS will be a senior in the Fall. Plan on rooming with a friend in an unfurnished apartment. Need to get some basic furniture which he will either discard or sell at graduation. What are his options for inexpensive pieces just to furnish the bedroom:

Mattress Giant on Alafaya, south of campus near Waterford often has student specials. You can probably get a good deal on a package for mattress, box spring, and frame and comfort is guaranteed. You can also tell him to negotiate the price! They are easy to deal with and if his roommates also need beds, they will discount delivery.

He can look for used furniture, or also check out Ikea for very serviceable furniture that is student friendly and stylish, and can be disassembled for moving or storage. They have some really nice desks and chairs!

be careful about cheap used furniture you find on craigslist. if it sounds too good to be true it often is! often these furniture are bed bug ridden and the owner needs to get rid of them asap and if you buy it soon you will find yourself with an infestation!
