So, this thread is for any essay mistakes you might’ve made that are funny to an extent, just thought it would be fun to share. Please DON’T copy & paste what was in your essay (colleges could use plagiarism checkers), just give us the context 
I have a portion of my essay where I talk about raising my English ACT score from 26 to 35. However, I forgot to capitalize “English” 3 times, so it says “english” 3 times in my essay. Kind of an ironic mistake since I was talking about how much better I had gotten in “english” 
I submitted the vast majority of my applications yesterday, and I realized the mistake today, the admissions offices are gonna have a lot of fun with that one haha.
Feel free to share some other silly mistakes!
I applied for English for one of my schools, and in the activities section of the Common App, I was talking about my experience with writing for the school newspaper, and I wrote: “I have written both articles, short stories, and poems for the newspaper.” I caught that a few seconds after I submitted 
I don’t get it. I’m slow today.
MiniLion said “both” signifying two things, but they listed three things accidentally
I accidentally left the name of a different university on the application I submitted to Brandeis. And Brandeis wasn’t the only one… Oops! Luckily for me, the recipients of my embarrassing mistake (majority being safety schools) still took me in!
Haha! That’s funny! I sent my blundered essay to Deis, so they’ll have at least 2 silly essays to read this year!
On my common app essay originally it connected (and said) a specific major, I applied to a college but forgot to take out that part- they didn’t even have the major I said I wanted to go into in my essay! Still got in so its ok, but took that part out of my essay after that!
Also on my supplement for one school I was talking about the “silky water” but had a typo so it said “silly water”
