Funny Interview Questions

Has anyone had any of those weird 'why are you asking me this, it's not going to tell you anything about me' questions that you just don't know how to answer?? hahaha i'm laughing now that I think about some of the questions I've been asked. Like, for example I got "If you could choose any three people to eat dinner with, who would it be?" I said Harry Potter, Christopher Columbus, and Brad Pitt. hahah it sure made an interesting interview. I also later learned my lesson to NOT go to your very first interview/ open house thingy at your first choice school. NEVER!! always choose you're safety school for practice with interviews. I learned this the hard way.
Anyone else notice these 2 things? haha weird post I know but at least it keeps our minds off of march 10 and getting accepted and all these other posts regarding it., yes its on my mind too, but now it's getting a bit annoying>

I was asked if I like hats, I think he was just trying to get me to buy one from the school, lol, before we left he gave me a hat. Another one is, isnt it nice weather we are having, when it was freezing and snowing outside, the guy wasnt even being sarcastic, weird!!!! lol

I was asked what my favorite animal was. I said zebra. Then the interviewer told me that that was the mascot of their oldest rival. Hahhh.

lol crickett!

hahah, nice, crickett! so was that at st. marks?
i heard groton and them are rivals.

Oh. Then someone noticed my eye color and made a huge deal about it (I have violet eyes). They thought I was reflecting their lamp shade or something :) Its ironic because my favorite color is purple!

! preppp- Nah. St Georges!

On a phone interview, the lady asked what song was playing in the background, it was Stairway to Heaven. turns out she was a Led Zep fan.
Score 1 for Dazz!

oh, oops!
i think st. mark's is groton's.

mine wasn't really a question, it was more of an answer. my interviewer was asking me what books i liked, and i couldn't think of the name of one i'd just read- the great gatsby! it took me like a minute. very awkward pause.

Hahahaha, that is so emberassing! lol I would have passed out from all the preassure if it happened to me! I could already imagine the interviwer calling 911!

hahaha! luckily the rest of the interview went well.

Thats good compared to me... I somehow convinced my interviewer that I was failing two classes, when I was only getting B's in those. :(

ooh. that's awful!
i would die.

i woulda been depressed about that jaz.but im sure it turned out okay for youu

My principle is an off-campus interviewer for Exeter, and she told me that she is supposed to ask weird questions to see how you react. Her favorite one apparently is "If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" This is to examine how you respond; whether you get choked up, stressed and nervous, or whether you just laugh it off.

That's genius!

wow, it's amazing the methods these people think up to torture us!

Hi,

I agreed with you. Any way, your ideal make me thinking about some thing for my project.

Pls try to keep posting.Tks and best regards
