Some girl lost her iPod nano and she posted messages in the residence lounge where the cafeteria is, asking if people have seen it.

Second funny part is, she's not even offering a reward.

yeah people do stuff like that where i go to school (boarding school). One of my best friends got his iPod stolen from him two days after he got it.

This is why I don't take my iPod around with me. I listen to mine either in bed or while exercising. If I'm going to class, I'll just take my laptop with all my music and plug in my headphones. It's just not worth the risk of losing it.

I only use my iPod video when I'm making #2. I love to watch movies while I pewp.

MallomarCookie... That seems like a huge waste of an ipod. Why have a portable mp3 player at all then? Seems like waste of money.

People should just be responsible and not lose their mp3 players... I dunno, i never lost mine and I take it everywhere. Then again I listen to it all the time so something seems off if I don't have something plugged into my ears. lol

Yes, uyulove, because it's just THAT simple to be like, "okay, I'm not letting anything happen to my iPod". People don't ask for or plan to lose their mp3 players, I know I didn't. I got my first iPod for Christmas '05, and when I had it with me at HS the first day back from break, the screen cracked when it was being tossed around in my backpack. I called the Apple people and since I didn't get the extra accidental damage insurance, they said it would cost $300 to replace the screen. I had a 2GB nano, so $300 was more than I spent on the thing and more than what it would take to get a new one. So, I got another one (with my own money) and a case to go with it. My iPod has been problem-free for the last year. Like MallomarCookie, I use mine when I'm working out, laying in bed before going to sleep, or travelling. I don't have music in class. Around here, when we go to class, we're there to, uh...be in class, not listen to music. Except for computer science classes, you almost never see people walking around with their laptops.

I keep my nano in a leather belt loop clip case. If it's not plugged into my computer, it's on my belt loop. Keeps my focus off the bitter cold on the mile walk from my dorm to my english classes.

Almost everyone on my campus has an iPod, so I don't worry too much about mine. Plus, it's in a pretty nondescript (though expensive) case. I take it just about everywhere.

I've had mine over a year, and other than dropping it a few times, its totally fine. I have a Neoprene type case on it which acts like rubber when i drop it, so it bounces slightly which is nice. But its not hard to not lose it, as its either in my hand, in my coat pocket, or in my bag, unless its charging on my desk. As long as you dont leave it around all the time, its impossible for it to get stolen.

I have a Speck skin and it is great. It makes it a little thicker (I have 30GB video Ipod) so its not the smallest but the skin and screen protector make this thing very hard to crack/break. Anyways I usually have my Ipod somewhere in my body (in my hand, pocket, whatever) and have had mine for 14 months and the one before that (a 2nd generation 10GB Ipod that I gave to my sister when I got my video Ipod) a good 8 months.
