<p>So I just watched this movie about this kid who dreams about going to Stanford because his favorite author is a professor there, but his guidance counselor accidentally sends in the transcript of some junkie kid and he gets rejected, then he spends the rest of the movie devising plans to get into Stanford, but ultimately in the end decides that it's best if he stays home in Orange County, because even though his family and friends are dysfunctional, they're the inspiration for his writing (woot! one long sentence lol). </p>
<p>However, I missed the very beginning and I have no idea what the movie's called. It had Jack Black in it as the drug addict older brother. </p>
<p>Does anyone here know what movie I'm talking about and have you seen it?</p>
