Funny

well i just went to my MIT reception and the guy i think he was a senior said something and i want to know if it is true....

so he was saying an MIT graduate will know how to shoot better than a graduate at westpoint (so cool!!)

i know MIT is funded by the defense dept., but is that true?

I'm pretty sure that's in reference to the fact that MIT's pistol team beats West Point on a regular basis, not an indication that everyone at MIT is some kind of combat god. :P

I think this was in reference to the incredible MIT pistol team. They have beaten the "Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academies" several times now, for the national pistol championship. Here's the article if you want to see it.
<a href="http://www-tech.mit.edu/V127/N14/pistol.html%5B/url%5D">http://www-tech.mit.edu/V127/N14/pistol.html</a></p>

However, I'd wager that if you snagged a random graduating MIT student and a random graduating West Point student, the West Point student would win.

Just thought I'd bring up one other awesome thing about MIT. Apparently it has the 3rd largest tunnel system in the world, after the Pentagon and the Kremlin, or so I've heard.

...but anyone can learn how to shoot pistol at MIT by taking a P.E. course. =)

Four are required for graduation.

or IM pistol, which is the best IM sport out there.
