Post 547 on that link (thanks M2CK!) appears to say that Furman offers NMSF 14k guaranteed, and it is a relatively recent post. I am not sure on Washington and Lee, but I am interesting in adding the University of Virginia and William and Mary to the inquiry. Thanks!

Thanks. Still wondering about W&L

^^^
"Washington and Lee participates in the National Merit Scholarship program ([National Merit Scholarship Corporation](http://www.nationalmerit.org)). Admitted students who are named Finalists in the National Merit Program and who list W&L as their first choice school will receive either a Corporate award or an institutional award from W & L. The amount of the Corporate award varies based upon the sponsoring corporation. The amount of the institutional award is as follows:

For a student who is already receiving a merit-based award from Washington & Lee, the National Merit Award is $750.

For a student who is already receiving a need-based award from Washington & Lee, the National Merit Award is $2000.

For a student who is not receiving either merit- or need-based aid from Washington & Lee, the National Merit Award is $750. In addition, these students will receive a $5000 Gaines Scholarship which will be renewed each year and which will not increase or decrease in value, provided the recipient maintains a 3.3 grade point average."

Hope that helps. Funnily, (is that a word?) my initial Google search showed this thread. lol
