Anyone else excited to hear?

I am excited, I wish it would be at midnight tonight instead of 5 o'clock tomorrow

I think they are mailed on the 15th. Probably if you call they will tell you.

The decisions are posted in 20 minutes, the letter will probably come in a couple days

Daughter is in at Furman!!!

congrats all!

Congrats I got accepted too! :-) not sure if I am going to go though, is there any way to defer your application to RD?

ed is binding , defer is not an option if you appled ed

I seem to remember the admissions rep saying that you can roll into RD if you're still not sure about committing when the forms are due in January. Your application would then be evaluated against the new pool of applicants as if it had never been read before.

I stand corrected , thanks.

January 15 Application deadline

March 15 Admissions decision letters are mailed

May 1 You decide whether or not to commit to Furman (binding)

Furman is my first choice but I am looking at doing ROTC there and I have not been awarded a scholarship yet so I don't want to commit there before I have a scholarship..know what I mean?

Congrats to all of you. Our twins have just returned from their first semester at Furman-exhausted from finals but overall, happy with their choice. Furman is a great school-come prepared to work hard and enjoy a beautiful campus. Think about the Engaged Living Program at FU. Great way to get to know people and Poteat Dorm is nice.

Contrary to the high admissions rate at Furman ( that has some people with the wrong perception) our kids have found Furman to be VERY academically demanding. ( This was the first semester, I should note, without the 3-1-3 program. A's are very hard to come by, but the professors are superb and make themselves available for students that take advantage of the smaller learning environment. Again, congrats on your decision and acceptances -welcome to the Palladin family.
