<p>Ill be a grad student next fall, staying for a year to a year and a half max; Im looking for something practical and reasonably priced so Im not a 2000$ coffee-table guy, I lack both the art sophistication and the cash </p>

<p>furnishing a 3 bedroom apt could get quite pricey. i think the most expensive purchase you'll have is a couch. anyways, go to ikea for all of your furniture needs.</p>
<p>I dont know anything about the quality of these furniture places, just that they exist.</p>
<p>You can always get stuff from places like Meijer/K-mart/Target. Ikea is over by Plymouth, though apparently the place for college students to get crappy swedish furniture. There's an Art Van Furniture store near the mall, and also a Tyner furniture store near the corner of State and Ellsworth (just a few miles south of campus).</p>
