Future AP test scores and admission offer?

hello... this might be a dumb question but could the results of an AP test i have yet to take affect the admission offer from a college? my dad's really been bugging me alot about this. i'm fairly certain that i'm going to receive a 1 on the AP test im taking in a few days but this shouldn't matter right, as my college has already accepted me?

I doubt your college will rescind its offer.

AP scores are self reported. For tippy top colleges, the only effect I can see poor AP scores would have would be for those taken (and scores reported) before Senior year – what i mean is this: many school districts have AP courses in name only – i.e. they try to be rigorous but few if any AP test takers get top scores. This would indicate something to the savvy file reader at uber-selective college. High School X claims to have great AP classes yet all its sophomores and Juniors rarely get 4s and 5s. The reputation of the HS would be tarnished somewhat. Then someone from the same HS achieves 5s. Now that person would stand out…

The AP score should not in any way effect a college acceptance you already have in hand - only actual grades on your final transcript can do this. So, if you get a decent grade in the class - you are ok. Colleges see your final transcript this summer. If your grades plummet - you ahve cause for concern. You do not have to send the AP score. In fact, if you feel you did horribly after the exam, you have a time window of up until June 15th to cancel the score - see page 6 of the AP Student Pack. Bottom line - focus on the actual grade in the class - less emphasis on the AP exam score.
