<p>If you're worried about your future career being outsourced, just don't bother with college or even life at all, because anything and everything can be outsourced. It's called "capitalism."</p>
<p>At MIT, it is the "thing to do" to major in something like EECS and then work for an investment bank. I don't know if this is the case elsewhere.</p>

I'm planning on going to Rose-Hulman next year for engineering and they have business cards from past grads and manyyy were doctors, lawyers, and businessman. You can do a ton with an eng. degree I think!</p>
<p>For the record, if you get hired to many government agencies like the CIA, you get a sizeable bonus for having a degree in engineering.</p>
