Future Freshman at TCNJ: Class Scheduling Questions

Hi again, does anyone know whether WRI 102 counts as a liberal learning class? Or an elective class? Bc i would rather take this class than some social science or boring humanities class for an elective fullfillment? And how many credits is the class worth? I think i read somewhere on the tcnj website that you need three writing intensive courses to graduate. does this count as one?

thanks

adding on to the last post, i believe wri 102 is somewhat of a prereq class but i know technically its required for graduation. But since you can potentially be exempt from it, would a med school look down upon this “low level” class? Or is it good to you know show your well rounded, especially being good at writing and communicating thoughts. I keep contemplating the ups and downs of taking this class, and i know i also read somewhere that many find it beneficial to take this class
if someone could provide insight on these questions it would be awesome bc im pretty confused

WRI 102 does not count as a writing intensive course.

I don’t think it counts as a liberal learning class or an elective as it’s an instructional course, but don’t take my word on that. Med school won’t think badly of you taking it probably, but I doubt they would think highly of it either. I would just try to place out and take another writing course if you’re interested in that stuff.
