Future I-Bankers Unite!!

Anyways....

I'm just wondering how many high schoolers want to be ibankers? Also, what does one major in to work towards this job? Finance?

I'm considering it but I'm not sure if it's really worth the 100 hour work weeks to be honest. The pay is good, no doubt, but you'll be slaving away as an analyst for a few years before you do actual investment banking work. I think the average investment banker gets burned out after like 7 years.

As to what to major in, the most highly recruited are economics, finance, and accounting majors. Investment Banking firms only really recruit at top schools like Stern, Tepper, Sloan, Haas, etc.
