Son was admitted to Yale and Dartmouth colleges; his current plan is a math/econ major and likely career in business/finance after working and pursuing an MBA. Please share your opinions about the pros and cons of attending Yale vs. Dartmouth for this future direction?

No pros or cons. Both are great. Yale has slightly stronger programs in the two...but that's not so important at undergrad.

curious... what's it mean that you are a 'senior member'? Where did you attend college? Or do you attend college now or work for one, and which one?

It's just a designation that you get after a certain number of posts here.

I'm just a high school senior.

Yale is in new haven and its urban.
Darthmouth is rural, small town.

I would not send my kid to yale. Darthmouth has my vote.

i'm sorry but didn't you post this last time?? anyways.. MBA is really famous in Dartmouth.. Dartmouth was nominated the first (not the normal ranking.. it was like how the school teaches the alumni on how to be successful in the market. ie how to deal with certain problems and how to maintain good relationships with others..btw Harvard was out of top 10 because Harvard mainly focuses on the theory.. the graduates are not really socially active they say) so i guess Darmouth is your choice.. but really,, Yale is the place where your son could start meeting people from all over the world.. so i suggest your son goes to Yale for undergraduate and go to Dartmouth to pursue MBA. i don't know.. your choice..
