<p>Im currently in 11th Grade</p>
<p>GPA:
Grades 9 and 10 - 3.5
Grade 11 - 3.8 so far</p>
<p>SAT - 1790</p>
<p>Took AP Euro and got a 2 in 10th grade
Took Honors Algebra 2 and Honors Chemistry
Speak 4 different languages</p>
<p>Did a lot of community work
Participated in 2 leadership conferences from schools all over Asia
Varsity basketball in 10th and 11th grade, JV in 9th
School Worship band
Church Worship band
Student council member ( Next year I hope I get to be VP)
and I was sick with typhoid during my 9th grade so my grades dipped alittle bit… </p>

<p>yea, i figured it was low but it was my first time and I've been studying since so I guess If I take it again I can get a better score... hopefully....</p>

<p>main flaw is the SAT grade. your EC's will seem good if you maintain consistency. the GPA you listed is unweighted right?</p>
<p>You need to figure out what your UC GPA. This will only include your 10-11 grade coursework with the 1-point bonus for AP and <em>UC approved</em> honors courses.</p>
<p>Your first-try SAT scores are low for UCLA. If you can manage a 200-point improvement before application time (and do well on your SAT II's), you'll be a viable candidate.</p>

<p>Note that admission wasn't a slam-dunk even for strong applicants. Because of that, you'll want to apply to other places as well... but you knew that. And a cure for cancer would be lovely, but not required.</p>
