and I was sick with typhoid during my 9th grade so my grades dipped alittle bit…

Is there any chance for me to make it into UCLA???

SAT score is extremely low

Find a cure to cancer.

yea, i figured it was low but it was my first time and I've been studying since so I guess If I take it again I can get a better score... hopefully....

a cure to cancer???

main flaw is the SAT grade. your EC's will seem good if you maintain consistency. the GPA you listed is unweighted right?

You need to figure out what your UC GPA. This will only include your 10-11 grade coursework with the 1-point bonus for AP and UC approved honors courses.

Your first-try SAT scores are low for UCLA. If you can manage a 200-point improvement before application time (and do well on your SAT II's), you'll be a viable candidate.

This chart will give you a good idea of the stats the accepted applicants had:

Note that admission wasn't a slam-dunk even for strong applicants. Because of that, you'll want to apply to other places as well... but you knew that. And a cure for cancer would be lovely, but not required.
